Mountfield T30M lawn tractor

Hi to everyone. I am new to this forum and pretty new to the gardening scene. I have recently purchased a property with sufficient garden space to start gardening. I do have a fair bit of grass, I therefore have recently purchased a mountfield T30M lawn tractor. it has been very good. I have just replaced the belts but in doing so, a compression spring (no. 39 in the drawing below) has came detached. The drawing is not clear where this spring belongs. Any assistance would be great.
