Fruit tree lichen

Please can anyone offer advice on how to remove lichen/mossy growth on current bushes and fruit trees. What available treatments would you recommend? Any advice would be appreciated.

It does no harm. It means you have clean air. I would leave it.

Yep agree, just watched an old GW episode in which Tim confirmed this image

Only just seen this thread... it's a coincidence because I have a very thick growth of lichen on my old apple trees and I pointed this out to the tree surgeon who was doing some other tree-stuff in my garden. He said it is normal and "a good sign".

My garden and I live in South Wales.
