    I would be a bit wary of Hayloft, Mark. Their plants are expensive and often very small when deliverd.

    I think Paddock's are a much better option.

    I plant in 3s but my borders are 6-8ft deep. They can stand larger blocks of cover. That's not to say I don't plant single plants here and there.

    Punk have you tried growing them in pots and then moving them to the garage/shed/GH/cold frame when the first frosts are forecast? Apparently they do well! 

    Verd, contacted my local and Black Adder has gone on sale today - just my luck aye image

    Highly recommend Long Acres, biggest GC in the UK at Bagshot, 9cm perennials £1.49, sure does beat the price of most other online suppliers.
