Where to put Raspberry plant in winter

imageGuys I've cut back my raspberry plants and put them into the pop up greenhouse I have , it's really frosty in worried they'll die? Is this the right thing to do ... Help. I don't want them to die they were amazing in late summer !!!!!!

    Patsy is right Meghan. They are perfectly hardy and can stay outside in the ground all year around.

  • Oh okay, this is good news. Mine are in pots they were given to me in the pots?? Should I put them into the ground ??

  • rasps are totally hardy,

    but be aware when planting they can send runners out under the ground, I've planted mine in very large pots in the ground as I want clumps of rasps not rows.

  • Now probably wouldn't be the best time to get into the ground though surely , it's snowing here (Henley, Oxfordshire) ????

    There are many raspberries that have the 'Malling' prefix to their names. These are tried and tested. You would just need to do a bit of research to find the Summer fruiting varieties.

  • Hope you got the solution. Rasps are hard enough to withstand frost. Patsy said right here. Good luck.
