Incredible amount of hard work, but looks to be worth the effort.  In my young and foolish days I dug up the old patio and path and laid about 180 slabs in total.  Just thinking about it now makes my back and knees hurt.

small update now the weather is a little more stable. Planted out the skeleton of the garden with hardy perenials. Seeds mostly bought and awaiting warmer weather to germinate. Still a little chilly up here yet.

  • This going to look great in the spring and summer.  Do you have a favourite spot?

It's starting to fill up nicely now,  lovely colours from your heucheras ?

How many types of mint do you have in the herb bed? I'm experimenting with cuttings of chocolate, strawberry and pineapple mint at the moment, they're coming on nicely.  Did you plant yours in their pots to stop them spreading?

3 types of mint. Moroccan, english, and pineapple. Probably gonna plant the banana type too. Didnt plant them in pots as its a completely enclosed and separate herb bed. cant spread anywhere else.....plus you can never have enough mint. gotta fill those mojito's and cocktails and lamb recipies with something 8)

  • So last update. If you suffer from moss infestation in your lawn dont put up with it! Do what I did and change it into a relaxing garden. It CAN be done.
