Pruning climbing rose

I have some climbing roses growing up a 8 foot trellis they are at the top I want them to carry on climbing along the top of trellis do I prune them or just leave them growing , if i have to prune them how much.

If you want them going sideways along the trellis then tie them to the trellis where you want them and cut a few inches off the tips to encourage side shoots which will bear flowers.
