Pruning
in Fruit & veg
I Have just had a large apple tree, reduced in size, its a Blenheim Orange, Its probably 150 years old! 10 meters tall, Its been reduced to 3 meters, it had two main trunks, they have been cut of, It probably should have cut down completely, as the two main trunks are hollow and about 30 centimeters in diameter, I don't want to loose it, do I need to cover the ends of the trunks? I have taken some cuttings, but wont know for months with them, Advice please.
Cheers Barrie.
