Looks like Lonicera Nitida below the bird feeder. If so, it can be cut back and shaped as it grows.

Have you got bionic eyes Joyce? image

I can only see a green fuzzy blob with pinch & zoom imageimage

Kitty, I can't zoom in but the leaves looked lighter than cotoneaster.

The one to the right of the feeder....Weigelia????

    There will be more suggestions.........

I took this last week, if it's not clear enough I will ask my husband to take a photo with his phone which takes clearer pix than our Canon PowerShot! I'm trying to see if we've got any berry-producing plants in the hedgerow - thank you

I think Kittty was correct re cotoneaster but mine doesn't have leaves at this time of year, only a few  Berries not eaten by the birds.

MarniX, have you noticed small white flowers on it in the spring  - loved by the bees - followed by berries? Could be my original suggestion of Lonicera Nitida if not.

The ivy has late flowers - again loved by the bees - so long as you don't prune it.

    Hi, Joyce21,

Thank you so muchimage for your advice.

We only moved in last October so still have spring yet to come which I'm looking forward to for the first time in nine years... I did get a higher up picture of the berries today.

Will be brilliant if bees come - we already know blue tits, robins, sparrows, and possibly a song thrush spend a lot of time in the hedgerow as it is the view from my study and I've been watching what comes to the feeder.

I'm also planning to plant shrubs and plants favoured by bees in the front garden. And hopefully a couple climbers as suggested by lovely forum members earlier. Our neighbour has also planted a shrub that may eventually make friends with our hedgerow
