Ammi majus too tall for cold frame

Bright starBright star Posts: 1,153

Morning all.

I sowed some Ammi Majus seeds in autumn and they are in  a cold frame, I've pinched them out twice but they are now getting too tall for the cold frame. Will they survive if I take them out and place near the house wall and wrap them in fleece when it's frosty. The bed where they will be planted is yet to be built (next months task)

thanks.

They should be fine - give them a bit of support so they don't get buffeted around by the winter winds.

Thanks dove, they have some supports in so hopefully will be ok. Next time I'll sow them later so they won't get too tall for cold frame.
