seed sowing multi-cell trays
Whenever I use the multi-cell seed tray inserts, I never find it easy to get the seedlings out - I water the tray, loosen the individual sides, but still they don't easily come out. Does anyone have any tips? Does anyone know where you can buy (expanded) polystyrene multi-cell trays? I used these years ago and they had a separate base unit with prongs to push out the seedlings? Thanks for your help.

try using 2 kitchen knives , one pushed down each side of the cell, to ease them out.
I use a the flat end of a short bamboo cane to push mine out. It works fine so long as they're not too wet.
Thanks to Hostafan1 and Singing Gardner. I'll try your tips.
hi ricard the thing I use is 2 odd tea spoons just slide down side and lift out works every time for me you can either use spoon end or the other end both work
an old kitchen fork with the outside prongs bent out of the way so there are only the middle two left. works well for me
