Water scarer for cats / foxes?
I've tried most things to keep animals out of my raised beds (netting, ultrasonic scarer, plants they dont like, blocking holes in fences, putting spiky things in soil etc) but I found foxes still attack the mesh netting for fun and dig plants up, while cats poo on top of the mesh. Lovely.
A month ago, I bought a PestBye water scarer that attaches to your hose and I have to say that worked brilliantly and made a massive difference immediately. I even had the satisfaction once of watching it see off the neighbour's cat!
However, I had seen from some of the reviews that the quality of the item wasn't great and sure enough it's leaking already so I'm sending it back. I've been looking at alternatives although none of them sound immune from leaks. But I reckon this kind of deterrent is definitely the best
Would anyone rate any other make?

I've always understood the Water Scarecrow to be a good piece of kit. Google for info and reviews.
The Contech one I think. Yes, I had been looking at that. Thank you. Grateful if anyone's got first hand experience of it...
There have been umpteen threads about cats over the years and all mention the water scarecrow as a solution so put that in the search box and you should find some commentary.
brill thanks. I would normally search before posting but the way they've redesigned the bloomin' mobile site means there's no search function!
