  • Well, it sort of looks like v. tinus, although the internodes are long, implying vigorous growth on a young plant, or the plant being drawn up because of insufficient overhead light. I can see that the two stems of new growth in the first picture arise from either side of a nipped off/pruned stem where there would have been flower, but that's not saying the whole shrub's like that, so I'll ignore that for the time being.  Certainly it looks healthy and I would expect it to produce flower bud at the end of this year. Bud should be showing by July/August latest.

  • Thanks for your comments. I shall await July/ August . This part of the plant does look as though it has been nipped off, but it was the best shot of the new growth. Think I probably shortened this one because it was overhanging the path.
