Large onions

For the last couple of years I've grown a small number of large onions (say a dozen). I've now sown seed for this years efforts. Any suggestions what a couple of OAPs can do with the one's still held from last year before they start rotting. As I've said they are large. dick c.

Chop them up and freeze. They are no good for frying but still OK in stews.

Or you can chop them up and fry them and then freeze in batches - fine to add to a casserole image

Fry the onions with tins of tomato (add garlic/herbs/chili if you like) and freeze. You can then use it as a base  for a pasta sauce, curry sauce etc
That's what I do with the tomato glut at the end of the season
