Irrigation safety on holiday

Hi, I hope this is the right place to post this (if not please feel free to move it).

We are currently working on an upgrade to our flood prevention system and would like some feedback from the gardening community.

At a recent trade show we spoke with several gardeners about our floodcheck system, they said that they liked the idea (it detects excess water flow and shuts down mains water, like having a fusebox for your water, if it goes above certain levels and switches off the water completely if the system does not pick up water flow for a set time e.g away on holiday), but said that they would really like the option to set timed periods that correspond to their irrigation systems timers.

We are considering taking this a step further and having it work with the away mode, so the system will put the water in a safe non flow mode should you go on holiday, yet still allow flow at the times required for watering systems.

What I would like to know is how people in the gardening fraternity feel this fits with their wants and needs?

We are also open to suggestions to make the system work even better for your needs, but without asking we can only surmise what is wanted.

Thanks in advance for any replies, I hope that we can make a product that provides you with peace of mind not just for your homes, but more importantly your gardens.

Kindest regards Shane
