    Just a thought .....

    If you are growing that close to a fence then you might be better with a "lollipop" shaped tree.

    Viburnum opulus is lovely but will be wider than you might want .... could end up looking squashed up against the fence.

    Good luck with it lovegardening. Prepare your site well first and look after it during it's first year till well established, and you'll give it every chance of success  image

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

  • Hi everyone, my mum bought me a hawthorn tree for my birthday which is being delivered tomorrow. So excited! I've dug in horticultural grit and farmyard manure, is there anything else I need to do before I get it planted?  Can I under plant at the same time?
