Kilmarnock Willow
I live in West Yorkshire and have just purchased a Salix Caprea , I lost a beloved pet cat and thought this would make a lovely marker for his grave. It was a knee jerk reaction and now the tree is here (it is about 3 ft) I am worried about the frost although the weather is supposed to warm up for at least for the next few days. It does say leave in a bucket of water overnight and then plant out. My question is will the cold weather be a problem ? Thank you

It's a hardy plant, possibly native. frost won't hurt it.
In the sticks near Peterborough
That sounds fine
as Nut says, it's hardy so plant it tomorrow as long as the ground isn't frozen hard. It'll need watering this spring and summer and probably in following years too - willows are thirsty.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
That's great thank you
