the blue variegated iris came from a clump down by /in the lake. Here when we arrived so I moved a chunk up here. When the lake is full, part of the big clump is underwater, so it can work IN water, but most of it remains on the edge, albeit in very damp soil, even when the water level drops.
A few things in flower. As you can tell I don't do planting schemes. If I like it I grow it and don't mind if I end up with more colours than a rainbow.
To see a world in a grain of sand and heaven in a wild flower Hold infinity in the palm of your hand and eternity in an hour.

Delicious pics everyone. There are examples of planting combinations worthy of a medal I say (Victoria, Hosta, Fairy...)
I'm not a fan of Iris either Hosta but those blues are true beauties.

Very envious of Hostafan's pond and Irises. Lots flowering here at the moment, but some are so fleeting, blink and they're gone.
Geranium cinereum Ballerina
Dutch Iris, unknown hybrid
Iris Dusky Challenger
Peony, Bowl of Beauty
Sisyrinchium Idahoense Album
Scleranthus Uniflorus

I love your garden KOG - used to have that tiny little geranium in the garden round the corner. Love your mossy display too
Hosta - they're sibirican Irises, which I'm sure you know anyway, but hard to tell as there's so many. They're looking great.
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Liking all the Iris and allium pictures
. Nice pond hosta wish I had the space for a good size pond. Your zantedeschia are lovely Sussexsun
That iris is really interesting, Runny. All the better for being a bargain...

Haven't got any flower pics at the moment, but i got a gooseberry bush and my first cucumber
My alliums popping up all over now, and poppies joining the party.
