Is that luteum Joyce? It's gorgeous. Even I can smell that from a distance. I used to pass a garden every day en route to school when the girls were small, and it had three or four along one boundary
A whole different world where you are Pat. Or should that be 'hole' ...
You can see why you get so many fires there. Incredibly, there is one currrently up in the north west, between Lochinver and a famous hill - Suilven. Shows just how dry it's been here this winter and spring.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Fairy, Yes. It has lovely memories for me as it came from the next door garden after the old lady died about thirty years ago. When we were broke in our early days she divided lots of plants for me and gave me cuttings. Her relatives told me to take anything I wanted from her garden when she died.
Thanks Joyce21 love picking them every year get a couple new ones like a kid in a sweet shop , I have to throw the catalogues away in autumn as I would end up buying the lot

Your garden must smell wonderful, Joyce!
I hope it all goes well, Berghill, and you will be back in your garden as soon as possible.
Such lovely gardens and photos everyone.
My garden doesn't compare, but we went out the back of our place to get more firewood, so you might like to see the eucalypts shedding etc.
Termite damage
wombat burrow
looks as though some borers have got into this one.
someone has been clearing a nice space for a sleep - probably a kangaroo.
looking up.

It's gorgeous Joyce. It's such an unlikely specimen for most of the year, but when it flowers.....
Even nicer when it has a bit of meaning for you too.
