Fruit flies

Help please!!!!!!!.. In October I got a plague of fruit flies after bringing my own grown pears into the kitchen. ( never again) I thought I'd goit rid after many weeks. Over the last few days iv seen some more. Iv no fruit in tghe kitchen. I can't find where they are coming from. Iv sprayed with no affect. Iv put a bottle trap with fizzy pop and honey but not trapped any. Today I'm trying the old fashioned fly papers. I'm getting very upset now. Please HELP.

The insects I know as fruit flies like wine, beer and bread as well.

How many have you got? we get a few through the winter but I don't worry about them

Or could they be fungus gnats from a pot plant?
