OH and I have erected plenty of posts in our time for fences, trellises, bird feeders etc and it's possible on your own but definitely easier with 2 people because someone can hold the post vertical while the concrete is poured into the hole around it. It's a simple enough matter to dig a hole. Just needs energy and a spade.
Drill the holes through the post before you erect it and mark a line at the base for the burial depth so you get them at the same height - assuming your garden is level. You can buy tensioners for wires at good DIY stores.
Make sure the posts are heigh enough to support the eventual height of your clematis. In my experience their vigour increases over the years, as does the number of stems Group 3s especially will push up each year.

Yes newb, that's the sort of stuff. With a nice post cap to finish it off.
Looking back at the thread properly
... this type of post and wire trellis was suggested by Busy Lizzie right at the start
Yes the wires may loosen but it's easy enough to tighten them up again or replace with new ones. The tricky bit is getting the posts straight.
I liked the idea of wires and posts. It does look nice. It is just that i am not feeling very confident that i can do it all by myself
I'd ask around for some help.
Do you have any "handy" relatives, friends or neighbours who could lend a hand?
Alternatively you could ask for recommendations for a reputable tradesperson.
