Another big talent gone
Not my sort of music but you couldn't ignore the skill with which he wrote and performed
I remember his interview on Desert Island Discs - so revealing and so sad.

Dovefromabove. Yes you're right, he was. I've got a few of his solo albums. But the voice was amazing.

I always remember his music playing on the radio at high school, RIP George 
This year has seen many famous people depart this world, and the end of the year seems to follow the pattern.
That said, I have to confess that, when a commentator on the radio said that everyone would know this chap, I really, hand on heart, wouldn't have recognised him if he had walked through the door. And I find it really, really hard to think of a duo as a "band".
OK - I'm old, grumpy and I'll get me coat . . . . .
Tonight,BBC 1 10.00pm a tribute to George Michael. Concert in Paris.
