Mystery shrub

Hi all,
I have just moved into a new house and inherrited this unidentified shrub. It is very large and over powering in my small garden, a couple of birds pop in and out so not sure if to get rid of it.
Any info on what this could be would be a great help.

Leycesteria formosa aka Pheasant berry. Quite a seed weed where suited. May be pruned to the ground if need be. Quite easy to dig out altogether too.
Himalayan Honeysuckle is another name for this shrub, we have two in our garden. The flowers look like claws. The shrub can be pruned after flowering. (Just pruned mine this week, but not if your weather is freezing emily.)
And the little berries taste of nutmeg

I have never tried them - assuming you have Pete? We have so many poisonous berries here - ivy, Lords & Ladies come to mind, so assume not to eat all small berries.
They pop up in my garden now and then over the years and sometimes I keep one for a while.
AFAIK the berries are edible (I'm sure I read it somewhere) - I have tried them, quite bitter and tastes of nutmeg. Not something you'd want a lot of certainly.
