Killer white fluff on lawn
We had a new lawn laid mid october as its fantastic but in the last week patches of white fluff have started to appear and the grass under the fluff then dies. It is spreading quick quickly and there are some large areas dying already. Any advice on what to do would be so helpful. The grass has never been moved or walked on.Its a new build house /garden and the lawn was laid by professional gardeners.

I think that's Fusarium -as far as I'm aware there's not a lot you can do at this time of year - it should recover in the spring

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Its fusarium patch disease jbartonevans but the happy news is that once your grass starts growing again in the spring it should disappear. Here is a link to help you. Lots of useful information:

Welcome to the forum jbartonevans. Lots of lovely people on here. Have a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
Clever people Dove and Ladybird.
As several of you know I had some fairly major work done in the garden in October and part of this involved re-laying all the turf in the garden.
I started to notice quite a lot of these areas of fluffy growth / dead grass patches about 10 days ago and was getting quite concerned about it.
It's a relief to know the turf should recover in the spring - just hope it doesn't spread around too much before growth restarts.
