Mine are over but only because I pulled up the last few to make room for more plants

  • Mine is from a sowing this spring!  It's the second of the batch to flower in it's first year.

I was hoping for foxgloves around the new amelanchier when it's finished flowering in the spring ...... I wonder if the foxgloves will flower again.

I think spring is a bit early. They're naturally biennial but will do annual if sown early. Once they get established they fall into their own natural rhythm and stay for ever

  • image When I say 'spring sowing'  they got scattered with the compost when we mulched around the tree after we planted it.  We'll have to see what happens ... there are others that can be transplanted to that patch in the spring if these die off.

I need to do some transplanting, plants always seem to germinate right at the edge between garden and path
