That sounds like my worst nightmare Zenjeff. I'm glad I live in the country but I would like it just a tiny bit warmer
Going to IKEA would be just as bad for me as sitting in traffic
Daughter leaves home at 5.45am to avoid to motorway rush......she does admin work before the start of her working day.
Given the choice, I would rather sit in my car and twiddle on my tablet in a traffic jam than queue in Ikea any day.
I agree. I don't understand the attraction of Ikea. My wife volunteered to go to our local Ikea to get somebody some gift vouchers. We got there about 10 minutes before opening time and there was an enormous queue to get into the place. No special offers or anything like that so why do people queue to get in there. I couldn't get back out fast enough.
Actually IKEA at Croydon there were no queues and all the staff are very pleasant and helpful for people on a budget its Ideal and not only for furniture they are very cheap for all the bits and bobs when you are first setting up a home Aym thanks for the tips but we're on a time schedule as We only had the van hired for a couple of days he as no transport and we had driven down from Newcastle which is quiet a distance ,shame IKEA aren't in Brighton as it was the drive from Brighton to Croydon which was the pain in the neck not Ikea
Love going to our local Ikea in Southampton,we go at opening time and find the traffic OK. Like having a look around ....always end up with various 'bits and bobs', despite not going with a need to buy!! The 'real reason' is a coffee and a slice of their apple dessert.....yum! Their restaurant looks out over the Solent and docks so you get to see all the cruise liners, recently we were lucky enough to see the new one that is now the largest in the world ( can't think of its name) it towered over all the nearby buildings!

We don't have IKEA here, but would like the choice and yes I believe for people starting out it is an ideal shop for first time buyers. A 5 minute traffic queue here is unusual so I pity those who have to sit in traffic for any length of time. Most workers can leave home 10 or 20 minutes before starting work, many walk or cycle to help cut down on traffic.
