Salvia in the Blues

DimWitDimWit Posts: 553

It took me too long to place this potted Salvia patens in the ground, and small as it is it started producing flower buds.

As summer is coming now to the southern hemisphere where I live, should I

1. nip off the buds?

2. pinch the growing tip?

3. do both?

Thank you in advance !

  • I would nip out that top clump of leaves/growing tip - salvias don't take long to bush out and produce flower buds. image
