Bird Feeders you Can take Apart and Clean

Friends

There are many plastic feeders with the green tops and perches that you cant take apart to PROPERLY clean

? Who sells ones that you can take apart , place in a bucket over night and re assemble

I dont want germs or infections to build up in the tubes that could affect the birds

  • I use the Chapelwood ones - you can take them completely apart for cleaning.  They cost more than the plastic ones, but I bought mine from our local garden centre  with garden vouchers I was given for my birthday the other year.

I have several kinds for peanuts and fat balls and blocks, made from plastic coated wire or wire mesh and plastic.  No idea what make but I clean them by soaking them in hot soapy water and then, when OH isn't looking, I put them thru the dishwasher.  So far, so good.
