Indoor Olive Tree losing leaves

Hello,

We bought an olive tree at Columbia Road Market a few months ago, it's been looking pretty much the same since. But over the last few weeks one side of the tree has been losing leaves. The dry up and get hard, they don't change colour, the olive fruit dries and turn black. the other side of the tree looks in great condition.

I can't figure out what wrong with it, I don't think it's the watering.

Probably the radiator, they hate central heating. Needs to be cool, but not freezing, good light, should need very little water over winter.

  • I think it would be happier outside in a sheltered spot, but it's a bit late in the season to put it outside now. Do you have access to an ingested greenhouse or conservatory ?

  • Do you think if I move it away from the radiator and by a big window, that it might recover?

    I don't have access to a conservatory

  • More light and less heat and dry air will be beneficial: whether it will be beneficial enough remains to be seen, but do it ASAP. What have you got to lose? The tree will probably not survive where it is.

    Good luck.
