up the garden parth

Does anyone remember what Adam Frost used for his paths in his vegetable garden on a recent Gardeners World episode? I think it was hoggin but can't be sure. If it was, has anyone used one and can recommend it? I like the contrast of the sand colour against the greenery.

p.s I now realise I have spelt the title wrong!

Haha david, parth made me smile, wasn't sure if that was a new plant or something? I'm sorry i can't help you with your "parth" can you google it, may come up somewhere?

  • I can't remember what he called it, but search for 'self-binding gravel' and I'm sure you'll find the right stuff.

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

That episode will probably be on YouTube

Life's tragedy is that we get old too soon and wise too late.

  • Self binding gravel, that's the stuff! Thanks.

Cor, thanks for all your quick input!
