Crown imperial fritileries

Bought some loose crown imperial bulbs in autumn but don't know when to plant them. Am I too late now?

plant them, they won't keep til next year.

I think you're supposed to plant those on their sides so that dent in them doesn't fill up with water.

I can't remember if I did that or not but they keep coming back every year. image

Yes, on their sides, on a layer of grit, deeply planted.

How can you lie there and think of England
