  • hi all been down garden this morn sawed length ways a piece gas pipe cut a notch where middle of fork is slipped gas pipe over top of fork tines .. I have some strong wire that I have tightened with pliers over pipe sound as a pound have to cut some for spade but will have to alter for lips on spade still it will make it better for boots    also 2 boxes of carrots    got about 50 carrots will  blanch them and freeze them for xmas .   got.8 leeks for some leek/tattie soup    1 only box carrots left in g/house      image

  • hi bergill  I had read your entry  nealy 2 weeks ago and never clicked what you meant by handle broke  if it is wood can you not put a new handle on ////or is it a metal handle on it    my big potato fork with flat tines on was metal  but it broke found a piece of steel pipe that fitted like a glove and welded them together and still swear by it used it this morn putting callabrese  storks in midden (  might be worth trying to weld it      just  a idea   Michael

    Sadly the spade was beyond repair.Michael. As usual I snapped the blade itself.
