Memories of the past

  • When I was at school in Coventry  many of the stars from the pantomime came to give us a concert.  One year it was Jewel and Warris who told us this little poem:

There was a farm near Huddersfield

That had a cow that wouldn't yield

The reason why she wouldn't yield

She didn't like her udders feeled.

That raised eyebrows amongst the staff, but then:

    Mary had a little lamb

    She also had a bear

I've often see here little lamb

but I've never seen her bear/bare.

One of the senior girls told us this one:

    OLOLAQICI82QB4IP.

Hi busylizzie, sad your arthritis stopped you riding, sounds like your mare was quite a tricky girl, i rarely hacked my mare out as she was too skitish and i wasn't very brave ? I sold her to a friend in June, they are both very happy.....now i have time to garden. Hope your arthritis allows you to garden?

    Lovey memories folks ?

Yes Loanna, but when I kneel to weed it's sometimes an effort to get up again! I have quite a big garden with lots of perennials and roses. It's just that horses can be unpredictable and I don't trust my body anymore.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Remember the series called UFO? It's just been released on Blu-ray. Been remastered and everything. The whole series for £70.00. Which is a lot.
