Lawn die back
A strip of lawn adjacent a slab path running east/west develops yellow patches which spread to about 18 inches (but no further) and the grass dies. I have dug out the entire length and re turfed but it still recurs in patches. I feed the lawn and the patches do not occur elsewhere. After re-seeding the patches will recover only for other patches to occur. The underlying soil is chalk. It is not path weedkiller contamination for that is not used on the path. It is mainly shaded.
