Differentiating between Alliums and Tulips

I may have been somewhat disorganised and mixed up my Allium Purple Sensation and Ballerina Tulip bulbs image I'm guessing the Alliums are slightly larger but some are hard to differentiate. The Tulips have lost their brown peel 'skin' too.

    Don't smell anything image only soil

    Tulip bulbs are usually more pointed. Alliums more spherical.

     Can you post a picture.?
