Does anyone grow poncirus trifoliata ?

I just found a tree with lots of fruits on.  The scent is good but the size is only 2-3cm diameter.  I suppose it is not good for eating except keeping them for Xmas decoration?

I think it is used as a rootstock for grafting other citrus on to.  If you know anyone with a Meyer lemon, you could have a go. Other than that, it is just ornamental.

  • Thanks for replying fidgetbone!  Someone recommended to use them as hedges, for they are both very hardy and full of nasty thorns.
