What a year 2016's been and now the legend that is Leonard Cohen has gone, too. Been listening to some songs. Had to stop! H-C

What an awful year it's been, another great loss to our world. A true master of words .
Leonard Cohen's gig in Glasgow, circa '82 was the best I ever saw.
He was, oddly , hysterically funny on stage and even performed a song he'd only written the night before, in his hotel room. ( reading from a sheet of paper )
He used words like Rembrandt used paint, making light out of darkness.
There will never be another.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
So so saddened by this news today. Part of my youth. Another star who I felt I had grown up with.
RIP Leonard.
