Weed ID

Hi,

Could anybody tell me what these weeds are? Just like to know what's growing. Sorry about the bad photographic skills

    The first one is an ash tree sapling - dig out asap as the bigger they get, the harder they are to remove - don't just cut it off at ground level.  I recognise the 2nd but name isn't coming at the moment.

    Edit: Got it I think - Thale cress.

    Yes, get that ash tree seedling out asap.  You've probably got a mature ash tree nearby - learn to recognise the seedlings at a smaller stage and pull them out as soon as they appear - so much easier image

    The thale cress will pull up easily though.  It's a weed which can complete it's life-cycle in just 6 weeks!  Interesting little snippet about it here:
