only females

I have quite a collection of courgettes

Posts

  • Dunno what went wrong there..what I was trying to say was...all my courgette plants have only female flowers on them and are going to waste as all the male buds are still closed tight and small..I had a look at one but there didn't seem to be any pollen..at least powdery stuff...is it possible to still hand pollinate even with these tiny buds or do I just have to wait till the boys arrive.

    Thank you

Phew. I thought A & E were going to have a problem with said vegetables accidentally falling into various orifices.imageimage

Where are you.? I would have thought most courgette plants in UK are about to be finished.

  • Ah fidgetbones...am in Norfolk..plus I forgot to add the aforementioned plants are in my greenhouse..taking over the greenhouse lol

Unless you are using heat and growlights to extend the day length, I don't give much chance for courgettes at this time of year.
