What is causing this damage to my magnolia leaves

  I'd have said little snails cause the initial damage and fungal attack follows. That looks like a deciduous magnolia so all will be academic in a week or so and we can start again, fresh, in about March/April.

  Looks like Magnolia Blight (Pseudomonas syringae).
