Anyone know of these are weeds?

Hi!

I don't remember planting either of these.

Can anyone help ID them, in case they're weeds.

One could be a self seeded geum

Thanks

the second is Alliaria petiolata, Jack by the Hedge and many other names. Orange Tip larvae food

The first does look like a geum and could be the dreaded Geum urbanum if you didn't plant it. I can't remember the common name for that.

The bottom one looks like the Geum you mentioned. I'm not too sure about the top one though.

Hoik it out and don't let it seed. I mistook it for a geum many year ago and it's still all over the garden - a weeding job for life!

I did that too, when I first came here, I thought I had lots of geums, i even potted some up for mum. She was not best pleased.image

  • Hi again

Thanks all, impressed as always by the expertise.

I'll be pulling these out then.

Thinking on it.. I think I've seen one of these before and mistaken it for a nettle. I may have more of these than I realised image
