This plant has given me wonderful flowers all summer. Now only 1 flower remains. What is the name of this plant? Should I cut back? If so, when and by how much? Or just leave it be.

It is a Penstemon [ not sure which ]
Cut it back in Spring, there will be a basal rosette of leaves to cut back to.
