Can anyone identify these bulbs for me please. I have dug up a bucketful in the same area of my garden this morning. I can't for the life of me think what was growing there, as it is tucked away behind a small fir tree. Some of the bulbs are quite large and red. Fingers crossed someone can identify them.

They look like tulip bulbs.
looking at that horizontal line running round I wonder about crocosmia corms. Could you clean one up so we can see the shape properly?
