Snowdrops and crocus bulbs

Can anyone tell me if I can plant snowdrop bulbs and crocus bulbs in a mulchy area of my garden. Not sure if they will grow. Many thanks

Hi joanne. Can you just define 'mulchy' please. Do you mean quite wet or just that there is a lot of dead organic material there?
