Japonica skimmia

i am worried about my japonica skimmia  leaves are going yellow and dropping off -  is this natural at this time of year

    Skimmia japonica, that way round for name

    They're evergreen so shouldn't lose all leaves. I find they don't like the dry alkaline soil I have and go yellow. Not too keen on full sun either.

    Can you post a photo and someone with more positive knowledge re skimmias may be able to help. Start with the camera icon and reduce the size of the image before you start. I reduce mine to 30%

    That is as much as I know too Nut. They seem to have a tendency to go a sickly yellow colour for me, unless I grow them in fairly deep shade.

    In my garden poor drainage was the cause of 'yellowing' foliage.  Since finding a spot with better drainage it hasn't looked back.
