wallflowers blackcurrants and grapevine

HI all, we're going up to the allotment today, it's so madly overgrown we've decided all we can do is rescue what we can and weedkill the rest, we inherited a grapevine, it's outside, smallish, and some blackcurrants, would it be possible to rescue them by digging up, keepin in pots/nursery bed til next year? if so how best to do it? also, bought a few wallflower plugs to add to my seed grown ones, what is best plantin distance and any other advice ? thanks in advance

What about taking out one third of the oldest stems Verdun - as a compromise?  image
