how can I get rid of an unwanted yucca

I have an established yucca plant, growing in the middle of a lawn, which I want to get rid of. What is the best way of achieving this.

if pampas grass in the middle of the lawn meant, well, what it's said to have meant, I can't begin to think what signals were intended by a yukka.imageimage

    Verdun says:

Personally, it is good you are getting rid of it.  It is a dangerous plant and not suitable for any garden.  Don't let those who have yuccas persuade you as to their beauty etc. and urge you to keep it.

What's so dangerous about a Yucca?  It's a genuine question, not intended to cause trouble! image

    Thanks Verdun,

To be honest it's not a plant which has ever really appealed to me, so not growing it isn't a problem.
