Yes, your plants will be better off outdoors. Snapdragons around where I live like to seed themselves in the tops of old walls and cracks in paving, and they survive a few years there! I wouldn't do too much cutting back either--your lavender needs to be cut back when the flowers finish but not beyond the point where there is young growth. If you cut back now you'll risk diseases getting in. The rose is also best left until January or February for any pruning, though it may not need much if you've recently planted it.
