spring bulbs

Hi all , planted spring bulbs in pots about 3 weeks ago , noticed today a couple are popping their heads up ! is it o.k / normal . i'm in south yorks .shall I cover with more compost ? thx

Don't worry they'll be fine. As soon as the weather cools down they'll slow down and hardly grow at all until the spring.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Man: it's been reet mild up here don't be surprised if til the frosts start appearing you have several plants start to pop up that you don't expect!
I have got a dwarf lilac rhododendron in a pot flowering, second time since May!
