Something so small would probably do better being potted on but do not make the mistake of putting it into a big pot. Over Winter the young plant will not enjoy being in cold wet soil so only use a pot slightly larger than the 9cm pot for example a 20cm pot would be ideal.
I would pot it on as a rabbit or deer could take a liking to it, but it is fully hardy and a shade lover so leave it outside under a tree say. I does like a bit of moisture as it grows very well on my solid clay.
Hi Wright I have no issues with either of they animals
I live in a built up area will go ahead and plant it out thanks for your reply.
We have one straight opposite the kitchen window in a patch of soil about 3*6' and well shaded. It flowers all through the Winter and has a very pleasant scent.
Hi ladybird and oakridge.
Ladybird I will pot it on and over winter it. When will be the best time to plant it out will it be after the last frost.
