Pruning first year grapevines

Hi I'm experimenting with growing grape vines and was wondering of the best way to protect and if I need to prune them back hard in preperation for their first winter

Morning I saw that episode but i didn't see much on first year vines just established pruning and nothing on protection over the winter was there more on the website cheers dave

Grape vines are tough plants so shouldn't need much if any protection here in the UK.
